My dad came home from work today to tell me a lovely bit of information concerning gender inequality in the workplace. Two summer hires at his job have the same level of experience, were hired at about the same time, and are doing the exact same job. The difference? The guy makes $12 an hour, and the girl makes $9. My dad works for THE GOVERNMENT. This kind of shit is ridiculous and down right sexist, and those who think that this huge gender gap doesn’t exist are seriously deluding themselves.
